For this project I went up to Bald Peak State Park and took photos of the view overlooking the valley. It was a cloudy day, hence the haze in the pictures, and the sun was going down, but I liked the way the sun shone through the trees.
I love the first three especially, the way you captured the sunlight is breathtaking. The DOF is also great, it really gives the sense of distance that is reminiscent of professional photographers.
One of the things I love about Oregon is the midst in the trees and all the hills and trees you can see when you are high up. This is a nice reflection of how Oregon is... although it's sad to be taking them at the time of year when the trees look dead. The first several images only a few branches of trees are included on the sides of your images and that looks like a mistake...the third image is much stronger as it's obvious that you meant to include the trees and they weren't there by mistake. If at all possible branches that jump into your frame should be eradicated.
I am not yet sure what type of photography I will be taking, but instead I hope to continue down the path I began in Beginning Photography and to start to figure out what type of photography defines me.
These are really interesting. They almost look creepy. I like that they have a strong mood.
ReplyDeleteI think these are really good, but would be helped with amping the saturation. I like the lighting and the trees framing the pictures.
